-John and Wendy are your hosts at the Fulton House, conveniently located in southwest Portland, one block from beautiful Willamette Park on the Willamette River and the magnificent Willamette Waterfront Greenway. Our house, built in the late 19th century, was originally a floating bordello; around 1910, it was placed on logs and hauled to its present location by teams of horses.
-Originally, the Fulton House was not in Portland but in the small town of Fulton, which was annexed by its larger neighbor. One block from the Fulton House sits the old Fulton Post office, today a building containing two small shops. In the area, there is a Fulton Park and the local microbrewery is built on land previously owned by the old Fulton Dairy. Several of the larger homes in the area, like the Fulton House, still exist.
-A scrumptious buffet is served for your breakfast pleasure from 7:30-9:30 each morning – a variety of fresh fruits, scones or muffins, granola, yogurts, quiche and your choice of juices and beverages. You may enjoy your meal in our dining room, out back on the garden patio or in your room. On warm mornings, your hosts might invite you to sit on the rooftop Fulton House “Widow’s Walk,” overlooking the Willamette River and downtown Portland.
-Each afternoon, a special treat of cake or cookies plus beverage are available for your pleasure.
-Street parking is safe and readily available. There are no parking meters or time limits. Feel free to park right out front.
-We look forward to your visit to Portland. If you have any questions, feel free to contact us at fultonhousebandb@comcast.net or call us at 503-892-5781; we will be more than happy to talk with you about your upcoming stay in Portland, Oregon.
-Please come and enjoy!
